CKYC Upload APIs

The CKYC Upload suite enables Regulated Entities (REs) to submit new or updated KYC records to the CERSAI central repository. This section covers the upload process, API references, and supporting resources.

How the Upload Process Works

The CKYC upload process involves four stages:

1. Upload KYC Records to CKYC

Records are transferred to CKYC via SFTP (preferred), supporting files up to 1GB.

2. Create a ZIP File

The FI prepares a ZIP file containing:

  • A metadata file in pipe-separated TXT format
  • Customer images organised in separate folders per customer

3. Admin Controls

Two admin credentials are involved in the upload workflow:

  • The first admin manually uploads the prepared batch to the CERSAI portal.
  • The second admin logs in to the CERSAI portal to review and approve the batch.

4. Manual Filtering

After upload, admins check the CERSAI portal for any response errors, rectify the flagged records, and re-upload as needed.
